This really pisses me off!
Don't get me wrong. I enjoy humiliating my fellow human beings in various games as much as any guy would, but come on! Why does everything you make have to be multiplayer or MMO?
You're probably hoping your game will be a so-called "WoW-killer" or as successful as Modern Warfare 2. Granted, killing WoW is being done as we speak. Probably not because there's a better game but because all the raid-nerds are figuring out they've wasted their youth chasing a fucking leather belt.
Look at Skyrim, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 1/2, Portal 1/2 and the many other successful singleplayer games that exist. Why can't you follow their example and stop spitting out the crap you do at the moment? It makes me so damn sad to see the shit you release on a daily basis.
One of my great hopes was for a Neverwinter Nights 3. But nooo, Craptic (Cryptic) had to make a FUCKING MMO out of it. Who the hell authorizes something like that? The only thing Cryptic has ever done right to some degree is Champions Online and somehow, that is falling apart as well except for the few hardcore fans that still believe in spandex and x-ray vision.
I really don't get it. Even my favorite game studio Bioware is wrestling with the MMO monster. They're losing. The Old Republic was a good idea, but they've managed to fuck up Star Wars. Nobody fucks up Star Wars.
They managed to build up this amazing fanbase with Knights of The Old Republic 1 and 2. Then they mixed barf and poo to make what they call "A spiritual successor to the Knights of The Old Republic series" and forcing the fanbase to consume it. And enjoy it. What the fuck, Bioware? What's next? Dragon Age: Online?
Fuck you Atari, Bioware, Blizzard, Cryptic, Obidian and so on.
